Create a rustic flower garland for your home or special event! For this look, we were inspired by trendy boho and rustic event looks – you can even use this DIY for your own wedding. We used silk flowers, craft flowers, and the best part is that you can use the filler flowers and baby’s breath flowers which are already on the bushes to create the look. Add craft flowers or small silk flower buds if you garland is long or if you’d like more texture.

We love this time of year and sharing tasty home-cooked treasured recipes with friends and family is our favorite part of celebrating! We know not everyone has a chance to make it home for the holidays, so this year, we wanted to create a look that would be perfect for a Friendsgiving celebration! Friendsgiving is simply a Thanksgiving meal you share with your friends. Sure, there’s probably still turkey and stuffing, but it can be less traditional and more of a pot-luck style meal.
Our idea for this dinner was all about high style on a budget – and a couple of fun DIY tutorials to make with friends. We decided on a rustic theme with a warm color palette of cream, champagne, gold, natural rustic brown, and black. Remember, your Friendsgiving can be any style – there are so many creative ways to celebrate! We hope this inspires you! Happy (early) Thanksgiving from Balsa Circle!
With its rich history and colorful decorations, Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos is a celebration of life like no other! To join in on the fun, we created a flower crown, like one you might see on a sugar skull. For the colors, we picked pink, yellow, and red which hold symbolic value for Day of the Dead celebrations. We used silk open roses, silk peonies and rose bud craft flowers but feel free to use your favorites! If you create one of these colorful flower crowns, make sure to tag us @BalsaCircle or with #balsacircle so we can use your beautiful work!
